July favourites!

I've never done a favourites for a month before since I've been blogging but I decided to tell you about my favourite items that I use daily or have been using for quite a while now. If it's made it to my favourites list - it means I've not only used it multiple times but I've also tried to compare it to other raved about products out there and it's always come up on top.

So let's start then shall we?

When I get up in the morning I like to make sure I start the day off with clean skin and so I can't go wrong with ...

Clarisonic Mia

This is an amazing product and now that I've had it in my life for the past 3 years or so, I just don't feel clean without it! I need to use it daily in the shower with a good cleanser to make sure I get out all the dirt and my skin really feels better once I'm done using it. This has to be my favourite product by far out of everything else!

I didn't pick a cleanser as a favourite, because to be honest I alternate between products, the same goes for shampoos as well but I'll do a separate blog post with great hair products. But this cleansing tool is pricey but definitely one that I feel is worth the hefty price tag. I always stress that beautiful, healthy skin is the foundation to any look - and that before we apply high brand makeup to our skin, we need to first make sure to treat it with care.

NARS concealer

This is my holy grail makeup product right now! I use to be on the hunt for a good concealer... and then I heard a corrector + concealer is the way to go... BUT ... if you suffer from dark circles and want to avoid all that extra makeup under your eyes... well this did it for me! I stopped using multiple other brands and this has been the one I've gone back to time and time again! I buy this in the shade custard which is a bit lighter than my shade and then I use a BB cream or foundation over. Not only do I get brightness under my eye area but I also get the coverage I want and my dark circles vanish! Give this one a definite try and remember less is more!

Urban Decay NAKED Skin foundation

I've used this, tried other high end brands and BB creams. But there's just something about the formulation of this foundation that I love. It's very watery based but it's build-able and there's a wide range of skin tones covered. I think the best thing about it is that I'm not one who likes to feel weighed down by makeup and I don't like heavy coverage foundations because I've never really needed them. So I think this works for me and it's light weight which is great for warmer climates.

NARS Dual intensity eyeshadow

I recently caved and bought the eyeshadow Himalia and I'm in love! It's a beautiful taupey- gold colour and when you wet your brush and apply it - it really makes your eyelids shine or you can put some on the corners of your eyes and really make them sparkle!

I noticed also that NARS released a palette with some of their dual intensity eyeshadows and it's a great bargain and has the shade Himalia in it - so definitely try these out if you have the chance!

NYX soft matte lip cream

I LOVE these lip creams! I have one in almost every handbag I own and I just can't get enough of them. They are creamy, have a great stain that lasts for a few hours and have a nice matte finish to them. Not only do they come in a variety of colours but they are also inexpensive and you won't be breaking the bank every time you want to try a new one. I've talked about these before and I'm still using them! My favourite colour is Addis Ababa - it's a gorgeous vibrant pink that reminds me of MAC's Pink Pigeon and Flat out Fabulous shades. Definitely give these a try! You won't be disappointed.

Biotherm makeup remover

I've pretty much tried a lot of makeup removers... and I keep coming back to this one. Boscia's makeup remover is also a great one but since I've only used it a few times I didn't include it - and I feel like this one is less oily and a little goes a long way. It's gentle but is great for removing heavy eye makeup and mascara. Give it a go!

Sally Hershberger 24K - Root envy ultimate root boost

This is my holy grail hair product! Although I'm going to be repeating this one in my upcoming blog post about hair products and which ones I'm loving... I couldn't do a favourites post and not include this... I mean this is just THAT good! If you have fine hair like me and really need that volume - THIS is for you! Like run to your nearest Sephora, Ulta or even Walmart and grab this baby! Maybe your salon might also carry it. I've also tried Redken's Quick Tease 15, which is another favourite but after trying both products I can honestly say that Sally's product delivers way more volume and for at least 2 days as well! I mean which product does that? I spray this baby on my damp hair and then blow dry for amazing volume. I didn't even use hairspray last time and I still have amazing volume on my crown area the following day! If you want volume and bombshell hair - get this! I also want to add - Sally changed the look of this bottle but if you get your hands on the earlier ones - it comes in a pink bottle so it might look a bit different, but the product is all the same and amazing.

So that's concludes my favs for July - I'll do this again next month for August and also stay tuned for a blog which covers my favourite hair products. I'll go over shampoos, conditions, styling products, styling tools and also any other products to help with hair loss and to cover bald areas on the scalp.

Have a great weekend  and keep checking the blog for new posts!

xoxo
